By downloading, installing or using the Attic Greek application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Camilo Hernandez ("we", "us", "our").
Attic Greek provides a structured course in Ancient Greek (Attic Greek, with introductory exposure to Homeric and Koine Greek), comprising lessons, quizzes, vocabulary flashcards, and authentic readings, guided by a Socrates tutor character in the Socratic tradition.
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We will endeavour to give reasonable notice of significant changes.
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App; if you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has consented to these Terms on your behalf.
Free content. Lessons 1 to 5, together with their quizzes and vocabulary, and one annotated reading (Odyssey 1.1–2), are available free of charge and indefinitely, without an account and without payment details. No charge of any kind is made for this content.
Subscription plans. Access to the remaining lessons, the flashcards and the readings requires a paid subscription:
Billing. All subscription billing is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not store or process your payment information directly. By subscribing, you also agree to Apple's payment terms.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until that date.
Introductory offers. Where a free introductory period is offered with a subscription, it is administered by Apple and eligibility is determined by Apple per Apple ID. To avoid being charged, cancel before that period ends.
Refunds. Because billing is managed by Apple, refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple in accordance with its refund policy. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly but will cooperate with any legitimate refund request directed to us through the App Store.
All content within the App — including lesson texts, quiz questions, flashcard content, UI design, the Socrates tutor character, and course structure — is owned by or licensed to Camilo Hernandez and is protected by copyright and intellectual property law.
Authentic ancient texts included in the readings section are in the public domain. Modern annotations and commentary provided within the App are owned by Camilo Hernandez.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.
You agree not to: attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the App's content; share your account credentials; use the App in any way that violates applicable law; or attempt to circumvent subscription requirements through technical means.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Camilo Hernandez shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Greece.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are notified constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
